Smashed flower prints

This is a good one for when you need to get a little aggression out and make something pretty.

At the Harvest Festival this past weekend M made a smashed flower print. She was given a bit of cotton fabric, and then told to pick her choice of flowers from a basket overflowing with beautiful blooms. She laid out the flowers on one half of the cloth, and folded the other half over them. Nice & tidy-like.

Now for the fun.

She was handed a hammer & told to pound away.

What fun! I think the result is lovely.
