Garden helpers

Such a simple thing, but they really do love it. We live in a Very Small Apartment these days, but anytime I have the opportunity, I set my kids to work in the garden. They can help and have wonderful fun at the same time. When they are smaller, I have them help with watering and pulling new weeds (you need to make sure they know which little greenies are the weeds, and which are your precious seedlings!). As they get older, I give them bigger jobs like hauling yard waste to the compost pile in the back of Grandma's garden or collecting all the branches that got tossed around from the latest thunder stormer.
