Our newest pets were also our shortest lived.
On Saturday M&B collected some sand fleas and mole crabs (same thing, different stage of life).
On Sunday we bought them a fish tank complete with fake ocean water, sand, food and a cheery little plastic palm tree.
On Monday all the sand fleas were dead and we weren't 100% sure that the Mole Crabs were still with us.
On Tuesday we had a big stinky mess for Mama to clean up, hose down, and sanitize.
Your mole crabs died because they probably drowned- they breathe air like us- they only like lightly moistened sand.
